Juvenile (or Type 1) diabetes affects nearly three million Americans. It
usually strikes in childhood adolescence, or young adulthood, and lasts
a lifetime. The physical complications of this disease are numerous,
and Mo-Cycle was founded to help all people with this disease in the
name of one of its sufferers, Ethan Maliskas.
He is a brave young man
who, like all others affected with this disease, dreams of the day when he
lives free of the day-to-day difficulties caused by diabetes, as well as an
eventual cure. Mo-Cycle's sole purpose for existence is to raise money
for the leading organization whose mission is to find a cure for Type 1
diabetes, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Ethan Maliskas is “The Sign Lady’s” grandson.
